Georgia is a state very rich in history and culture, for Southerners and Native Americans alike, and this is your opportunity to experience it firsthand.  We will be travelling to the Southern towns of Thomasville and Bainbridge, GA. 

In Thomasville, you will learn how it played an important role in the Confederate cause by supplying goods and men.  During the 1800's the city became an internationally famous winter resort, and many of the buildings have been restored and are open to the public today. 

On our way to Bainbridge we will visit the Pebble Hill Plantation, which covers over 3,000 acres and the main house has 40 rooms.  In Bainbridge you will see where the Seminole Indians thrived on the bluffs of the Flint River before deSoto arrived in Georgia in 1540.  We will also enjoy a seafood dinner at Wingate's Lodge, on the banks of Lake Seminole.
